During his first few months back at work, Brendan Rodgers has been put through a lot of challenges. Before he ever signed on the dotted line, he was astute enough to realize that he would have to put up a battle in order to win over the hearts and minds of those fans who would never forgive him for leaving them for Leicester City in the first place. This mission made a little bit more difficult when Celtic lost their hold on the first piece of silverware of the season. This was due to the early season League Cup defeat at Kilmarnock, which eliminated any possibility of Big Ange's triple being retained during the course of the season.The head coach of the Hoops will have one last match against St. Mirren in Paisley before the top flight is put into hibernation for a few weeks. While Rodgers was trying to preserve a lead at the top of the Premiership table, the sight of Rangers celebrating the lifting of that very trophy at Hampden last month ratcheted up the pressure to just about boiling point. This occurred at a time when Rodgers was in the midst of a difficult situation. It is therefore not surprising that the fifty-year-old player let out a tremendous sigh of relief when some of the excitement subsided following Saturday's triumph against the Old Firm on Saturday. Naturally, he is not yet out of the woods at this point. In the event that Rangers are successful in winning their two games in hand, Celtic's eight-point lead will appear to be much less decisive. At least for the time being, however, a situation that had the potential to become quite dangerous has been stabilized. Rodgers will be able to go into the winter break maybe wondering what all the commotion was about if they are able to win against St. Mirren, which will further lower the levels of tension that they are experiencing. In response to a question about whether or not the rumors of Celtic's doom may have been grossly overblown, Rodgers stated, "We're absolutely fine." When you've been a Celtic player for two years, you'll notice that things start to change, you know what I mean? Therefore, you will need to recalibrate everything once more, which is obviously the reason why it needs a little bit more attention to detail. However, this is a club in which you do not have a lot of time to yourself. However, the victory over Rangers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday has provided him with some relief. On the other hand, Rodgers is aware of the significance of ensuring that the victory from Paisley is accompanied by another three points. When all is said and done, this definitely does not seem like the right time to start letting off the gas pedal. He indicated with a nod, "I have prior experience in advising against that." It is important to keep in mind that the performances are never flawless, which means that there is always a lot of room for improvement and improvement in areas where you could be better. The players will be given some time off, as he stated, because they are in desperate need of it.
