Celtic needs to be careful not to spend an excessive amount of their January budget on Bojan Miovski, who is rumored to be a target […]

During his first few months back at work, Brendan Rodgers has been put through a lot of challenges. Before he ever signed on the dotted line, he was astute enough to realize that he would have to put up a battle in order to win over the hearts and minds of those fans who would never forgive him for leaving them for Leicester City in the first place. This mission made a little bit more difficult when Celtic lost their hold on the first piece of silverware of the season. This was due to the early season League Cup defeat at Kilmarnock, which eliminated any possibility of Big Ange's triple being retained during the course of the season. The head coach of the Hoops will have one last match against St. Mirren in Paisley before the top flight is put into hibernation for a few weeks. While Rodgers was trying to preserve a lead at the top of the Premiership table, the sight of Rangers celebrating the lifting of that very trophy at Hampden last month ratcheted up the pressure to just about boiling point. This occurred at a time when Rodgers was in the midst of a difficult situation. It is therefore not surprising that the fifty-year-old player let out a tremendous sigh of relief when some of the excitement subsided following Saturday's triumph against the Old Firm on Saturday. Naturally, he is not yet out of the woods at this point. In the event that Rangers are successful in winning their two games in hand, Celtic's eight-point lead will appear to be much less decisive. At least for the time being, however, a situation that had the potential to become quite dangerous has been stabilized. Rodgers will be able to go into the winter break maybe wondering what all the commotion was about if they are able to win against St. Mirren, which will further lower the levels of tension that they are experiencing. In response to a question about whether or not the rumors of Celtic's doom may have been grossly overblown, Rodgers stated, "We're absolutely fine." He went on to say, "Unfortunately, it is the noise that follows a team that is either Celtic or Rangers." However, I have sufficient expertise to be able to shut out the cacophony. My attention is able to be directed toward the advancement of the squad, and I am able to observe the growth and improvement of the players. I can identify the areas in which we can improve as well. I have picked up this squad at a different period than I picked up the previous squad when I first came. I have picked up this squad at. Therefore, there is the potential for a slight decrease with one or two of them. However, as I have mentioned to the players, it is the responsibility of the job to keep up that level of performance and mentality standards. I shall drive that since it is my responsibility to do so. Rodgers is fully conscious of the criticism that he is under, despite the fact that this is his second time around. Having landed in the midst of a flutter of rose petals when he initially crossed the border in May of 2016, the Northern Irishman concedes that he is now attempting to impress a more demanding audience. "It was never going to be the same as the first time," he said the first time around. My arrival at mark II is completely different from my arrival at mark I. In other words, it is a different group of people and a different configuration of players. This was always going to be the case. "There is a complete and utter difference, and it is not simply due of the team. Despite the fact that they had already won the league when I arrived for the first time, the team was still eager and determined to achieve even more. In order to elevate both the team and the individuals to the point where they have the will to continue, we desired to win in the most effective manner that we could possible achieve. This was accomplished by the players throughout the course of the subsequent two years, and they were outstanding in every way. A further stage of that cycle has been reached by this group of players. It is already the end of the two years that they took. They have seen continued success over the past two years. When you've been a Celtic player for two years, you'll notice that things start to change, you know what I mean? Therefore, you will need to recalibrate everything once more, which is obviously the reason why it needs a little bit more attention to detail. However, this is a club in which you do not have a lot of time to yourself. However, the victory over Rangers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday has provided him with some relief. On the other hand, Rodgers is aware of the significance of ensuring that the victory from Paisley is accompanied by another three points. When all is said and done, this definitely does not seem like the right time to start letting off the gas pedal. He indicated with a nod, "I have prior experience in advising against that." It is important to keep in mind that the performances are never flawless, which means that there is always a lot of room for improvement and improvement in areas where you could be better. "But listen, when you win a big game, it is really important that you go bring that same energy into the team for the next one. It is really important that you do that." Currently, we are performing with a particular style and a level of steel that I would want to see in the team. We didn't give up as much information while we were playing Livingston and Dundee. Then, when we played Rangers, we once again did not give up a significant amount of ground during the game. "Therefore, the work rate, mentality, and consistency that are among the most essential are continuously getting better. However, we must include that into each and every game. Rodgers will give his players a few days to relax and enjoy themselves once this game is over. During this time, he will be able to enter the January transfer market with both feet firmly planted on the ground. The next events could have a significant impact on a great deal more than simply the outcome of the championship fight for this season. However, despite the fact that Rodgers is fully aware of the significance of the upcoming weeks, he is also aware of the significance of allowing the players he already has the opportunity to relax and recoup in preparation for the significant push that will take place in May. The players will be given some time off, as he stated, because they are in desperate need of it. They will take a break, during which they may have the opportunity to spend some time with their family. "While they are away, they will have some work that they need to complete, but this is a great opportunity for them to start again before they leave again. Prior to our participation in the Scottish Cup, we will be playing no games for a period of time. Therefore, we will be able to accomplish a great deal of work during that time frame.
