(3) Three things learned from the Girona 1-4 Barcelona match clash

On Sunday, Barcelona beat Girona 4-1 thanks to an inspired showing by the team after the international break. Hansi Flick has a lot of good things to say about the game.

The away team scored four goals, with two from Lamine Yamal, one each from Pedri and Dani Olmo. Cristhian Stuani’s goal in the last few minutes of the game was Girona’s only consolation.

A clean sheet would have given a more true picture of the game, but the 4-1 win keeps up the idea that Barcelona is the best team this season and gives them 15 points after five games.

That was last night’s game. Here are three things Hansi Flick can learn from it.

Full revenge was taken.

(3) Three things learned from the Girona 1-4 Barcelona match clash
Before Sunday’s game between Girona and Barcelona, a lot of people were talking about how Michel’s team beat the major La Liga teams in both games last season.

The league’s underdogs put on two great performances to beat Barcelona by scores of 4–2 in both of their meetings last season, which was a huge blow to Barcelona’s hopes in La Liga.

On Sunday, though, Hansi Flick’s team beat them badly at Estadi Montilivi, and they never looked even close to as strong as they did last season.

From the beginning to the end, Barcelona controlled the game. They easily broke down Girona’s defense and created many chances. The hosts also couldn’t keep up with them because of how well they finished.

It’s true that Girona had some great chances near the end of the first half and in the last few minutes of the game. Aside from that, they were not even close to being the team they were last year, and the cruel Barcelona buildups kept them at bay.

A horrible Lamine Yamal show

In the first 45 minutes of their game against Girona, Barcelona may have played their best football in a long time. They almost gave the hosts no chance because they didn’t put a foot wrong.

No matter how good the team was, though, Lamine Yamal, a young star, stole the show.

At this point, everyone knows the 17-year-old football player. He was at his free-flowing best again against the Catalans, and two magical goals gave Barcelona a 2-0 lead.

Yamal’s first goal was totally his own work. The Ballon d’Or nominee stole the ball from David Lopez and scored a stunning goal on his own against the goalkeeper to open the scoring.

After a few minutes, he hit the ball hard when it bounced out of the box after a corner kick, sending it past Paulo Gazzaniga and into the back of the net.

With his two goals, Yamal has scored three goals and set up four others in just five games for Barcelona. He looks like he’s going to have a great season.

Barcelona is having a great time.
Many people wondered if Barcelona’s strong start to the new season was due to a lucky run of form or real world-class talent after they won all four of their games before the international break.

They played two weeks after their last game and showed that they do have a special aura about them this season. They picked up right where they left off.

The Catalans’ front four has been on fire since the start of the season. They got loose again and caused chaos in the Girona area by picking up passes and breaking through defensive lines without any trouble.

Even though Olmo had a pretty bad day (he scored a goal), Raphinha, Pedri, and Yamal were great at changes and getting passes through the lines. At the same time, fullbacks Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde made the team’s play more direct.

It was also taken care of in the defensive middle, where Marc Casado put in an amazing performance and never looked like a player making his way into the first division.

For now, it looks like everything is going as planned for Flick’s Barcelona, and the management will hope that the team’s spark lasts all season. It’s only the start of their run, but Girona gave them some great lessons.
