Kevin Muscat is expected to be named as the new Rangers FC manager, with discussions understood to be in their closing stages. Sources suggest that the official confirmation could be made ahead of Sunday’s Premiership fixture against Kilmarnock.
The Australian, now managing Shanghai Port in China, previously played for Rangers during the 2002–03 campaign. Muscat’s managerial career has included stints in Australia, Japan, and Belgium, where he endured a brief and difficult period with Sint-Truiden.
While the 52-year-old is currently leading Shanghai Port toward a league title, his return to Europe has divided opinion.
