50 year-old pundit at Sky Sports Jamie Redknapp delivers brutal verdict on 32 year-old Manchester United Midfielder Casemiro awful performance during their draw match against Bournemouth
Yesterday, Manchester United played Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, and they played to a scoreless draw. This was yet another awful effort from Manchester United.
Despite the fact that United fans will be aware that this was yet another game in which they walked away with a point that they did not deserve, Erik ten Hag lauded the resilience of his squad to battle back twice throughout the match.
In what appears to be a monthly trend against United, the Cherries were able to saunter through the midfield on multiple occasions and had twenty shots on goal, in contrast to the eight shots that the Red Devils had on goal.
In spite of the fact that this is by no means the only issue, Casemiro has turned in yet another awful performance, which has most likely demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that the 32-year-old is performing at the top level.
When the home team broke on the counterattack in the second half, Casemiro was seen slipping in, but he was nowhere near the ball or any other player that could be identified. This was a perfect example of this phenomenon. If it weren’t for the fact that this player is United’s most costly defensive midfield option, the situation would have been hilarious.
Jamie Redknapp, who works for Sky Sports, was likewise not happy with the player and expressed his disapproval of the Brazilian’s performance at the conclusion of the game.
Providing more explanation regarding the performance of the former Real Madrid star, he stated, “I adore watching him play.” However, he appears to be in the middle of a soccer game right now. He appears to be playing at such a fast speed that the game is going to be a little bit of a pleasant experience, and there are celebrities coming out onto the pitch.
It is not. Let’s talk about the Premier League… That is a lot of experience that you have. One exception to this rule is running; it does not apply to any other activity.
The Brazilian’s defensive efforts in Bournemouth’s second goal of the game were particularly unimpressive to the analyst, who was particularly displeased himself.
Keep a close check on Casemiro while he is there. It is now his decision to walk? What is the purpose of your walk there?
“There are things developing so quickly, and you’ve realized now that players like Rodri and Declan Rice, are they going to be walking when (Willy) Kambwala is now going to face (Justin) Kluivert in a one-on-one situation to face off against one other?
“I’m thinking that I need to assist my friend. Even though he is just nineteen years old, you already have experience and have won Champions Leagues.
At the very moment that it continues, he is still walking, and then he makes the decision, “I’ll go for a little bit of a jog.” Watch how close he is to the target when Kluivert fires his shot. If he had run, he would have been able to prevent that from happening.
