According to a fresh analysis, the injury picture for the world champions shows encouraging development. But before of the game this weekend, the situation regarding one of City’s most lethal weapons seems vague. Yesterday, Ben Ransom of SkyNews announced on X that Nathan Ake has returned to training. The Dutch international has been sidelined with a hamstring ailment. For Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, that represents great news. Moreover, Ransom claimed that throughout the first fifteen minutes of City’s training yesterday Manuel Akanji, Kyle Walker, and Kevin De Bruyne were not seen. Ransom also mentioned that Ederson and Savinho did not workout following their Brazil performance. For Manchester City, the return of Nathan Ake to training is great news. Since Ake was injured on international service in September, City has been a defender short-supplied. The world champions have missed Ake even with their flawless beginning of the season. However, when Ake is back in training, Pep Guardiola should help him to gradually reintegrate into the team. Manchester City still worries about Kevin De Bruyne’s condition. De Bruyne has been absent since City’s nil-all draw with Inter Milan last month. He was supposed to come back following the worldwide break. Still to be seen, though, based on Ben Ransom’s yesterday’s report. Pep Guardiola fronting the media later today should provide an update on the state of the City squad. The City Manager will be hoping for most of his squad to be available this weekend.
