Watch Charlotte Hornets vs. Boston Celtics: Full Game Highlights (103-113)
Following their win over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday (Nov. 1) night, the Boston Celtics beat the Hornets 113–103. Perhaps a rough foul from former Boston forward Grant Williams in the first of Charlotte’s two losses helped the Celtics win that game. Williams was thrown out late in that game.
Boston started out strong and never fell behind by more than two points in the game, even though the team only made 30.8% of their three-point shots. Jaylen Brown couldn’t play because his hip hurt, but leaders Jayson Tatum (29 points, 7 rebounds), Luke Kornet (19 points), and Derrick White (18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks) all had big games.
Payton Pritchard (22 points), who came off the bench, also helped score a lot. With the win, the Celtics are now 6-1 on the season and still sit in second place in the East.
The next game for Boston is on Monday, November 4, at TD Garden, where the Celtics play their home games. The wait is over. Let’s look at some of the best pictures from tonight’s game.

In short
The Charlotte Hornets got off to a slow start and made it hard for themselves to beat the defending NBA champs.
The Celtics dominated the Hornets in the first half and built a big lead that reached 23 points in the middle of the second quarter. Charlotte stayed in the game as the second quarter came to a close thanks to Tre Mann’s great offensive play.
The Hornets got within two points in the third quarter after a great start to the second half. Boston made a lot of free throws late in the game to get ahead, but Charlotte fought hard on the second night of a back-to-back but lost in the end.
