Newcastle United transfers: Five players who are expected to remain, as well as eight players who may depart in January: Newcastle United has a number of significant decisions to make as the January transfer window approaches. Newcastle United will commence the January transfer window with the objective of surpassing their summer transfer window performance.

The Magpies were unsuccessful in securing a transfer for Marc Guehi, despite being linked to the Crystal Palace player throughout August, and only two outfield players were signed during the window. They have another opportunity to bolster Eddie Howe’s squad during the winter window; however, they may need to transfer some players to generate the necessary funds for new acquisitions.

The Magpies are confronted with a number of significant decisions regarding which players to sell and which to retain when the January transfer window opens, as it is a notoriously challenging market to navigate. In this section, we examine eight players who may depart the club in January and five who are unlikely to do so. What is your assessment of our selections? Do you anticipate any of these players departing when the winter window opens? Please consider following us on our social media platforms and sharing your opinions there:

1. Callum Wilson When January arrives, Wilson will enter the concluding months of his contract with the club. The club may consider offloading him in order to finance a new backup striker, as he has not yet appeared this season due to injury issues. Kuol Kuol has recently returned to action for the Under-21’s following an injury that has kept him out of action for the majority of the season. Nevertheless, his prior loan experiences have not been particularly favorable. | AFP via Getty Images
