Ruben Amorim provides an electrifying response regarding his Manchester United style of play, stating that it is “without fear.”
Amorim will commence his employment at United on November 11, which will coincide with the international break.
He will oversee his inaugural match against Ipswich Town. Nevertheless, he is currently in the midst of a notice period at Sporting and will be responsible for the Portuguese team’s home game against Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Amorim disclosed to TNT Sports prior to the match that it has been “a challenging week, both the most challenging and the most rewarding of my life.” I am unable to
provide an alternative explanation. It has been extremely challenging because I am departing from a highly regarded organization, but I am also transferring to one of the most prestigious organizations in the world. Nevertheless, it is the way it is. “I will be evaluated as a Sporting coach, and it is merely another game.” I regard it as a significant match against the world’s most accomplished instructor. I am aware that this is a difficult situation for Manchester United supporters.
Amorim has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, which expires in the summer of 2027, and United believe they now have one of the most exciting young coaches in Europe.
“I think it’s tough to say that [looking forward to coming against Guardiola more], I think it’s very challenging but not just Pep, all the best coaches are in England, so it’s a different world.
“In Portugal, you have the top three teams and you control most games, but there it’s a different world and I need that as a coach now. To say I’m looking forward to a challenge like that, maybe not [laughs].”
Amorim was quizzed about his style of play at Sporting and added: “Like I said, I’m more worried about my players feeling comfortable to play football to win the game than showing something to the English fans and the English media. My focus is on my Sporting players here.
