After a contract reversal and discussions with Chelsea, the 30-goal striker responded to Newcastle United’s transfer claim.Alexander Isak has once again addressed his future at Newcastle United in response to allegations that suggest he may be considering a transfer.

 

Newcastle initiated negotiations to secure Isak on a new, long-term contract, despite Chelsea and Arsenal’s interest in him during the summer. Those negotiations have since concluded, and a new agreement has not yet been reached.


 

 

The 25-year-old is currently under contract at St James’ Park until 2028. However, having scored 40 goals in 78 games for Newcastle since his £63 million club record transfer from Real Sociedad in 2022, including 30 goals in his last 51 games since the start of last season.

 

 

Since the commencement of the 2023-24 campaign, Isak has been surpassed in the Premier League only by Cole Palmer, Mohammed Salah, and Erling Haaland. Consequently, he has garnered significant interest from the most prestigious organisations in Europe.

 

The striker is currently on international duty with Sweden, and he was questioned about the rumours that have been circulating about his future.
