Marc Guehi issues a warning to Newcastle United as Eddie Howe’s team arrives at Crystal Palace.

Marc Guehi has emphasised the “difficult” challenge that his Crystal Palace team will encounter this afternoon in their match against Newcastle United.

The captain, who was the subject of a reported final offer of £70m from Newcastle last summer, has been compelled to adjust to life at Selhurst Park since his transfer fell through.

However, Palace, which had a successful conclusion to the previous season, is currently ranked second from the bottom of the table and is involved in a relegation battle. In the Palace programme, Guehi was queried about the possibility of facing Newcastle today.

He stated, “We are aware of the challenges that we will face this afternoon against a Newcastle team that is pursuing European football.”

However, we are confident that we are capable of defeating any opponent at Selhurst Park. Chronicle Live enquired about Howe’s intentions to confront Guehi for the first time since the transfer negotiations on the eve of the game.

Howe responded, “I would like to believe that we are well-informed about everyone.” This is true irrespective of the participant and opponent.

“Commenting on Guehi in significant detail is exceedingly challenging.” Marc is an individual whom we hold in high regard.

He is a highly skilled player. In spite of Palace’s challenges and precarious position, Howe maintains admiration for Oliver Glasner’s Eagles, stating,

“I do not believe that their table position is indicative of their strength or their style of play.” Selhurst Park is undoubtedly a challenging destination to visit.

I recall their victory over Tottenham as a particularly impressive performance, and I believe that their most recent results have reflected an improvement in their performances and results. I believe that they have been more competitive in the past few contests.
