Newcastle United seems poised to finalise the sale of Miguel Almiron. After six years at Newcastle United, it appears that Miguel Almiron’s tenure with the club is approaching its conclusion.
Newcastle United is poised to accept Atlanta United’s proposal for Miguel Almirón, as the Magpies prepare to capitalise on a player who has seen limited participation in Eddie Howe’s squad this season.
Although Almiron appears poised to depart, this does not inherently imply that a successor will be acquired. Paul Mitchell may face the possibility of postponing the replacement of Almiron until the summer, thereby leaving Eddie Howe’s squad deficient in attacking options for the remainder of the season.
That appears to be a precarious undertaking, particularly in light of Harvey Barnes’ current injury.Nonetheless, the risks associated with Newcastle may present potential opportunities.
Should Newcastle opt not to acquire a replacement and subsequently find themselves lacking in attacking options, Trevan Sanusi may be well-positioned to take advantage of the situation. The 17-year-old recently made his senior debut, entering the match as a substitute during Newcastle’s 3-1 victory against Bromley in the FA Cup.
It was a pleasure to witness Sanusi receive an opportunity, and he demonstrated glimpses of the qualities that have garnered him high regard from the staff at Newcastle United.
Nonetheless, he also exhibited a degree of inexperience and a deficiency in physicality; however, this should not be a cause for concern for an adolescent who has made only a single professional appearance.
Newcastle United will retain Trevan Sanusi at St James’ Park. It is anticipated that additional opportunities will present themselves for him, as Newcastle has no intention of loaning Sanusi out.
This appears to be a judicious decision, and it is anticipated that Almiron’s departure will facilitate his more consistent training with the first team. Collaborating with distinguished forwards such as Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak will undoubtedly benefit the winger, as Eddie Howe is eager for Sanusi to enhance the quality of his final output.
Certainly, Sanusi will only have the opportunity to participate in the Newcastle first team if he successfully garners the trust of Howe. The manager of Newcastle United will not field youthful players merely for the sake of their youth, as evidenced by Will Osula’s frequent observation from the sidelines throughout his inaugural season.
However, Sanusi possesses the potential to emerge as a prominent figure in the Premier League. Sanusi has drawn comparisons to Allan Saint-Maximin, as he embodies the qualities of a player that captivates and delights spectators.
We may have the opportunity to observe him more frequently this season, as Almiron is poised to leave. Although it is a considerable expectation for a 17-year-old to assume the responsibilities of playing Premier League football following a brief appearance in the
FA Cup against a League Two team, it is probable that Newcastle United will not have to depend on Sanusi. However, given that a successor for Almiron is considered improbable, Sanusi may at least be positioned to seize any opportunities that may arise.
