JUST-IN: Detroit Lions schedule 2025 has officially been revealed: Updates, leaks, rumors, dates and time

The Detroit Lions are back on track now that the clock has stopped.

This Wednesday, May 14, the NFL will make the regular-season rosters public for all 32 teams. The release will be shown on NFL Network and streamed on NFL.com, the NFL+ app, and their digital channel.

We already know who the Lions will play, but we don’t know which teams they will play first. It’s also known that the Lions’ path to the Super Bowl will be tough. According to betting expert Warren Sharp, their regular-season schedule is the third toughest in the NFL.

Also, because they are playing in the preseason Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, the Lions will play four exhibition games instead of three.

The NFL usually leaks interesting matches and big games before the official release, which has already begun. The official schedule release isn’t until Wednesday.

The Lions will not be in the season opener against the Chiefs like they were in 2023.
There were reports that the Lions might play in the first game of the season on Thursday Night Football against the Eagles, but they won’t.

The news came from Mike Tirico on the “TODAY” show early Monday morning. This means that the Lions will not start the regular season early like they did in the preseason.

As an example, Tirico said the Lions were the first team that could be the one, but then he said the Cowboys would be getting the tough Week 1 task.
