Now that Trophy Day has come to a conclusion, Celtic’s focus is shifting to the Scottish Cup final that will take place the following weekend.
The Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, will take pleasure in the celebrations that will take place over the next few days; but, the Hampden showpiece final will undoubtedly be on his mind.
Because of the injury that Reo Hatate sustained while playing for Celtic, Rodgers is facing a significant challenge in the lead up to the Scottish Cup final. The Japanese midfielder was ruled out of the game this week.
Michael Stewart, on the other hand, is of the opinion that there is a clear candidate to take Hatate’s spot in the championship game, and he asserts that this individual presents a greater ability to attack.
Uke McCowan is said to possess “greater dynamism” than Paulo Bernardo, who plays the midfield position for Celtic.
This season, Luke McCowan has been forced to exercise patience because he is now positioned behind Arne Engels, Reo Hatate, and Paulo Bernardo in the competition for a starting position for the Celtics.
On the other hand, according to Stewart, his performances in Celtic’s most recent two matches appear to have improved his case for a starting berth in the cup final prior to Paulo Bernardo.
It is always an intriguing one for me when I look at Celtic with the starting line up the other day and Hatate is not starting and Bernardo is in the lineup’, Stewart said in an interview with BBC Sportsound. “It’s always an interesting one.”
On a personal level, I just don’t get how Paulo Bernardo is able to go in ahead of Luke McCowan. I don’t want to be too critical of him. I believe that Luke McCowan have a greater amount of energy.
During the Celtics season, Luke McCowan faced up against Paulo Bernardo.
McCowan was a signing that Brendan Rodgers made on the final day of the summer, and he only cost him one million pounds, whereas Bernardo cost him three million pounds.
In the event that Hatate is unable to play for Celtic, it would appear that the Portuguese player is the favoured starter; however, how do the statistics of both players at Celtic compare to one another this season?
