Fans are shocked that Ragnow has decided to quit from the NFL after seven years.
Frank Ragnow quit the NFL after seven seasons, which means the Detroit Lions will lose a key member of their offensive line.
Ragnow has been picked for the Pro Bowl four times and named to the second team of All-Pro three times. There is a big hole in the middle of Detroit’s offensive line where he used to be. He played in 96 games over the course of his career and started all of them.
Ragnow said that the many injuries he’s had to deal with over the last few seasons were the reason he decided to quit. He missed most of the 2021 season because of a turf toe injury, the 2020 season because of a broken throat, the 2024 season because of a partly torn pec, and the 2023 season because of a number of illnesses.
Reports said Ragnow wasn’t happy with his deal because he wasn’t with the team at organized team activities or during the offseason workout program.
While he wasn’t there, the Lions lined up veteran Graham Glasgow and 2025 second-round pick Tate Ratledge at center for the first team attack.
For being tough and having a great personality, Ragnow has built a great name among his NFL teammates and peers.
While Ragnow was retired, many of his current and past teammates used social media to talk about it.
