Manchester United has issued a transfer warning for Bryan Mbeumo, as Newcastle United is on the brink of hijacking a £60 million deal

The pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo by Manchester United may extend into the summer, providing Newcastle United with an opportunity to capitalize.
Heading into the summer transfer window, Newcastle identified Brentford winger Mbeumo as a priority target. The 25-year-old had a remarkable Premier League season, scoring 20 goals in 38 appearances.

Only Alexander Isak, Erling Haaland, and Mohamed Salah have scored more goals than the Cameroon international.

Mbeumo’s decision regarding his future was revealed just two days into the transfer window, with Manchester United being his preferred destination. The Red Devils have already announced a deal to acquire Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha, which has activated the Brazilian’s £62.5million release clause.

In doing so, they established a precedent for future transfers.

Bryan Mbeumo’s asking price was disclosed by Manchester United.
Despite Mbeumo’s fervor to join Manchester United, there has been no formal offer for the winger, and the transfer is still far from being finalized.

Brentford is not in a hurry to sell Mbeumo, despite the fact that he has only 12 months remaining on his contract. This is due to the fact that Brentford has a robust PSR position and a one-year extension option for the winger..

Subsequently, Brentford’s head coach, Thomas Frank, acknowledged that Mbeumo’s departure this summer would not be inexpensive.

Frank stated to Sky Sports, “I am confident that the club will be amenable to the offer if the appropriate price is presented, which is expected to be costly.”

Manchester United must match the £62.5million paid for Cunha in order to quickly negotiate a deal with Brentford for Mbeumo, as reported by i News. The report cautioned that the transfer saga could “drag on all summer” if Manchester United fails to satisfy Brentford’s valuation.

Additionally, this could provide Newcastle and other clubs with the chance to intervene and derail a potential transfer.
