Just-in: Fans have recently learnt that the player from Botafogo who scored the game-winning goal against PSG at the Club World Cup has already signed with a Premier League team

The Premier League squad has already signed the Botafogo star who scored a shock winner against Paris Saint-Germain at the Club World Cup.

PSG, the Champions League champions of the previous season, began their Club World Cup campaign with a resounding victory over Atletico Madrid, another European powerhouse.

However, Botafogo, a Brazilian team, emerged victorious in the match that took place in Pasadena, California, on Friday, defeating Luis Enrique’s team 1-0.

Igor Jesus’s first-half goal earned his team a historic triumph over PSG, as they began their campaign with consecutive victories following their 2-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders.

Jesus also tallied in his team’s victory over the Seattle Sounders.

The 24-year-old forward is rapidly establishing himself as a prominent figure; however, he has already agreed to a transfer from Botafogo.

He is expected to join Nottingham Forest prior to the 2025/26 season.

Fabrizio Romano asserts that Jesus, in addition to Jair Cunha, is a “new Nottingham Forest player” who is also expected to relocate to the City Ground.

According to The Telegraph, the transaction will incur a cost of £30 million.

It goes without saying that Forest’s initial business ventures captivated the attention of online admirers.

“Cold signings from Forest” was written by a user of X.

A second individual stated, “This window is in a forest that is moving rapidly.”

A third statement was included: “The forest is cooking early this window.”

Jesus was brought to Arsenal’s attention during the January transfer window, making this a significant signing for Forest.

Tim Vickery, a journalist based in South America, stated to Give Me Sport that Igor Jesus is the current centre forward for Botafogo in Brazil. I believe the plan is to transition to the Premier League following the Club World Cup. I was taken aback by Arsenal’s lack of activity during the January window.

Jesus will continue to represent Botafogo at the Club World Cup before departing after the competition concludes.

On Monday, they will resume their campaign against Atletico.

On the same day that Enrique praised Botafogo’s defence, PSG will face the Seattle Sounders.

“I believe it is typical,” he stated. “This competition is exceedingly challenging and intense.” Every team is motivated, particularly in opposition to our team.

“I believe that our team occasionally encountered difficulties when confronted with their defence.” I believe that Botafogo is one of the most formidable defensive teams in the tournament.
