Following the success of the inaugural season of Netflix’s “Quarterback,” the streaming platform is currently distributing trailers and excerpts for the forthcoming second season, which is scheduled to premiere on July 8.
Netflix’s teaser, which was promoted by the NFL and posted on X, features Tom Brady broadcasting from the booth during a game. He expresses his desire to serve as the quarterback of the Detroit Lions’ offence to his broadcast companion, Kevin Burkhardt, and the audience at home.
Brady stated, “It is simply so much fun.”
The clip abruptly transitions to Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who is also depicted in the video revelling with his team and making significant plays.
Goff responded, “That’s a shame, Tom.” “You are currently retired.”
The program followed three NFL quarterbacks in its inaugural season, which aired in July 2023: Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings, Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons, and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Some new faces will be paired with a familiar one in the upcoming second season, which was recorded during the 2024 NFL season. Cousins will return to the program as a new member of the Atlanta Falcons.
