Petr Čech, and David De Gea List out Top 15 Worst Goalkeepers in Premier League History

1. Massimo Taibi (Manchester United)
The brief, disastrous United spell of Taibi, who was dubbed “The Blind Venetian” by the British press, was defined by the horror show against Southampton, in which the ball rolled under his body. Before being dismissed, he participated in only four games.

2. Loris Karius (Liverpool)
Karius had the potential to be a star, but his dismal performance in the 2018 Champions League final (which was not part of the Premier League, but was symbolic) and his inconsistent performances prior to that event undermined Liverpool supporters’ confidence. He never made a complete recovery.

3. Roy Carroll (Manchester United)

Carroll committed numerous embarrassing errors, including the infamous dropped pass over the line against Tottenham, which was not recognized as a goal. However, he did not perform poorly in every game. He failed to instill confidence.

4. Claudio Bravo (Manchester City)
Bravo encountered significant difficulties after being recruited as a ball-playing keeper by Guardiola. He was promptly replaced due to his poor shot-stopping, hesitancy in the air, and frequent catching out. His save percentage was abysmal.

5. Rob Green (West Ham, QPR)
Green was frequently prone to errors, despite his ability to execute respectable spells. Despite the 2010 World Cup gaffe, his performance in the Premier League at West Ham and QPR was inconsistent, resulting in his teams losing crucial points.

6. Richard Wright (Everton, Manchester City)
Wright, who was once considered a potential England No. 1, experienced a career that was ultimately unsuccessful as a result of his inconsistent performances and fundamental errors. After departing Ipswich, he failed to establish himself as a consistent starter.

7. Heurelho Gomes (Tottenham)
Gomes’ frequent flaps, poor positioning, and comical blunders marred his spells of brilliance, which were entertaining but chaotic. Spurs fans were never certain of what to anticipate, which is rarely a favorable indication for a goalkeeper.

8. Ian Walker (Leicester City, Tottenham)
Walker, who was a consistent member of the Spurs during the 1990s, was regarded as unremarkable at best and mistake-prone at worst. Criticism was frequently directed toward him for his inadequate leadership and inadequate command of his domain.

9. Mark Bosnich (Manchester United, Aston Villa)
Despite his aptitude, Bosnich’s second stint in the Premier League, particularly at United, was a complete disaster. His abilities were overshadowed by his attitude, fitness, and off-field issues.

10. Joel Robles (Everton)
The Spaniard was far from persuasive in every instance in which he entered the room. A series of unsteady performances was the result of his handling, decision-making, and inability to command his area.

11. Brad Jones (Liverpool)
Jones frequently appeared to be in over his head at Liverpool. He encountered difficulties with communication and positioning, and his performances were inconsistent when he was summoned.

12. Scott Carson (Derby, Wigan, Leeds United)
The early hoopla surrounding Carson was never fulfilled. He was a symbol of English goalkeeping mediocrity for a period, and he had several seasons characterized by errors at various clubs, with West Brom being the most notable.

13. Vito Mannone (Sunderland, Arsenal)
Mannone played a few exceptional games, but he was ultimately too inconsistent. He was never entirely trusted by Arsenal supporters, and his shaky hands resulted in numerous missed goals.

14. Adam Bogdan (Liverpool, Bolton)
Bogdan was most renowned for a calamitous error against Watford during his tenure at Liverpool, but he never appeared to be a keeper of the caliber of those in the Premier League. Regrettably, his tenure in England’s premier league was overlooked.

15. Andy Dibble (Manchester City)
Dibble, a Premier League veteran from the early years, was inconsistent and unremarkable in his performance. His performance was never distinguished as top-tier quality, and he committed numerous costly errors.
