Breaking News: Manchester United officially reached £70m agreement to seal Bryan Mbeumo transfer

It has been reported that United will pay £65 million upfront and an additional £5 million in add-ons. United’s third proposal of the transfer window was their most recent offer for the Cameroonian.

Mbeumo, who scored 20 Premier League goals last season, has been eager to relocate to Old Trafford for the duration of the summer. Consequently, both he and United have been eager to forge a deal.

Just over three weeks ago, United submitted a second proposition for the former Troyes man that was valued at over £60m. Their initial offer, which was worth £55m, was rejected.

It appeared for a brief period that United’s second offer would be sufficient to entice Mbeumo to leave the Gtech Community Stadium.

Last season, the attacker was directly involved in 28 Premier League goals. He will provide Old Trafford with a wealth of versatility. He has the ability to play through the center of the attack in addition to being an option at right-wing and for the right-sided No.10 position.

Next Tuesday, United will travel to Chicago to prepare for their opening encounter of the Premier League Summer Series against West Ham United at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 27.
