Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers reacts over playing against Nicolas Kuhn if potential match in the Como Cup

Nick Kuhn could play Brendan Rodgers in the Como Cup if Celtic beats Ajax tonight.

Como beat Al-Ahli in the first game of the pre-season event last night, and Kuhn played his first game for the Serie A team.

Ajax is a very good team, but Rodgers is sure that Celtic will win because they beat Sporting CP and Newcastle in their last two preseason friendlies.

During the normal press conference before a game, Rodgers talked about how he really feels about Nicolas Kuhn now that the German winger is at Como.

Nicholas Kuhn is “a real exciting talent,” Como told him.

The Italian press asked Rodgers what he thought of Kuhn and how he thought he would do at Como next season.

Rodgers told Celtic TV, “Nicolas is going to be a great player.” We saw him play for Rapid Vienna and were blown away by how fast he was, how good he was with the ball, and how well he could score goals.

“All of those traits came out when we took him to Celtic.”

“He was also on a very, very good Celtic team. If you want to shine as a player, you need to be on a good team.”

Brendan Rodgers told Italian reporters that Kuhn did “a great job for Celtic.”
The German winger had a great time at Celtic, and even though his play got worse near the end of his time there, Rodgers still had a lot of good things to say about Kuhn.

“Callum and his teammates really helped him get better as a player,” Rodgers said. “And when you play for a big club like Celtic, you become a winner.”

“He left after 18 months and did a great job for Celtic. He’s a nice guy with a lot of good qualities, and I hope he does really, really well here.”

Kuhn played well in his first game for Como last night as the former Celtic player gets used to his new team.

It would be great for Rodgers if Celtic could beat their old star and win the Como Cup to cap off a great end to their pre-season training.
