Manchester United lastest transfer update on the 30-year-old midfielder Bruno Fernandes before transfer deadline

The Sun says that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad is thinking about making a surprise move for Manchester United defender Bruno Fernandes before the transfer deadline.

Al-Hilal made offers to the Portugal international earlier this summer, but he turned them down. He was happy to make the Red Devils his team for life, but something could happen at the last minute.

The Sun today says that Al-Ittihad and Fernandes’ team have already talked.

The first time I talked to the player, things went well. It is said that the United captain has asked for £33 million a year, plus bonuses, to move to Al-Ittihad.

Fernandes has said in the past that he would be ready to leave if the club wanted to sell him.

United could improve their middle now that Fernandes has left.

Early this year, Fernandes made it clear that he did not want to join Al-Hilal. Since then, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko have been added to the attack to make it stronger.

Cunha and Mbeumo are going to be the clear starters in attacking middle, which means Fernandes might have to play as the eight player from now on.

When he plays lower in the middle of the field, the Portuguese player is less creative and often loses the ball. If Fernandes gets out of the deal before the deadline, United might have to spend a lot of money on two midfielders.

There is a lot of information out there that United wants Carlos Baleba. Brighton & Hove Albion are said to be worth £115 million for him. The Seagulls might want a big chunk of the money up front for his move.

Along with him, United should try to make a deal for Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace, who may also cost a lot. If Al-Ittihad agree to a one-time payment, it will be easy for the Red Devils to get the two players.

Before Fernandes decided to stay put this summer, United was said to be willing to sell him for £100 million. In the next few days, the leadership could ask for a similar deal to allow his sale.
