Ederson was an ideal fit for Manchester City during the Pep Guardiola era, and he departs the club as the custodian with the most Premier League titles in the annals of English football. Additionally, his proficiency with the ball at his feet revolutionised the game for shot-stoppers.
The Brazil international would have found it exceedingly challenging to bid farewell to City, and Ederson has now disclosed the final words he exchanged with Guardiola prior to retiring from the Etihad Stadium.

“I informed him that I would return to bid everyone a proper farewell.” He replied, “Of course, of course,” as he reflected on the eight years, the numerous moments, the numerous trophies he had won, and the difficult moment he had just passed.

The 32-year-old’s most memorable moment of the season will undoubtedly be his late save in the Champions League final, when Romelu Lukaku headed the ball towards his goal. This moment will be eternally remembered by Man City supporters.
