Chris Sutton slams Henry Winter’s awful statement over about Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou move to Nottingham Forest as their new manager

English reporters often look down on Ange Postecoglou’s work at Celtic, which is something Celtic fans are used to.

When Postecoglou went from Celtic to Tottenham, the English media were very mean to him. A lot of it happened in his last season at the club.

Postecoglou was fired by Spurs even though they won the Europa League with him. He was a star of Celtic.

Postecoglou is almost back in the Premier League after leaving Celtic to become the manager of Nottingham Forest this season.

When Chris Sutton heard what Henry Winter said about the Celtic great, he slammed the well-known reporter on social media this afternoon.

There is no reason to think that Ange Postecoglou is better than Nuno Espirito Santo.
Winter is a very well-respected journalist, but it looks like he doesn’t like the idea of Postecoglou becoming Nottingham Forest’s next boss.

On X, Winter said, “Ange Postecoglou is not better than Nuno Espírito Santo.” Nuno made Forest players better.

“How many Spurs players did Postecoglou make better?” Angeball, high line, and sometimes high and disastrous, is also not like Nuno’s style of counterattacking, so Forest players will have to get used to it.

“If the former Spurs manager is hired on time, his first game with Forest should be a big deal—away to Arsenal.”

“Postecoglou needs to get right to work, finish at least seventh, and learn from Nuno’s mistake, whether he did it on purpose or not. He also needs to keep quiet about his owner in public.” Don’t stress. He should be lucky, but it’s a risk.

In fact, this isn’t the first time Celtic fans have heard this nonsense about Ange. Winter lied about everything he did at Celtic and Spurs.

This was quickly shot down by Sutton.

Chris Sutton calls Henry Winter’s comments about Celtic legend Postecoglou “very short-sighted.” Sutton reacted on X, where he again defended Postecoglou’s track record as a manager from another journalist’s attack.

Sutton said, “Hey, this is a bunch of nonsense…” The only difference is that they play in different ways. It’s not fair to compare Ange Postecoglou to other players and not acknowledge his many accomplishments during his time.

Ange has won many awards in Japan, Australia, Scotland, and England, among other places.

Also, don’t forget that he won the Asian Cup with Australia in 2015. As Postecoglou gets ready for more of this kind of hate when he starts a new job in England, Sutton’s point is important to remember.
