Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown insists he wasn’t the one gaming into the early hours of Sunday morning before the team’s Week 4 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Over the weekend, a clip circulated online showing St. Brown’s NBA 2K26 MyPlayer account active around 4 a.m., sparking fan speculation that the Pro Bowl wideout had been up late playing video games before kickoff.
Keeping It Light
St. Brown said he’s aware of how fame brings extra scrutiny — and he doesn’t mind having fun with it.
“I like to have fun with it. There’s trolls on the internet, on X, everywhere.
So, I can be a troll myself sometimes,” he joked. “I’m human, too. I like to have fun, but there’s still a level of professionalism… At the end of the day, if you win and play well, you’re allowed to have some fun.”
The Takeaway
So, was it really St. Brown logged in before dawn? He says no — but even if it were, his on-field play leaves little room for criticism. The Lions star delivered another standout outing in Detroit’s 34–10 win, catching all seven targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
Laughing off the rumors on his podcast, St. Brown reminded fans that results speak louder than speculation — controller or not.
