Shock Rangers link emerges with Erik ten Hag after latest Steven Gerrard twist

The Rangers have been compelled to reevaluate their search for a new manager. Steven Gerrard was the preferred candidate to succeed Russell Martin as Rangers’ manager, as the former skipper was available following his departure from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq in January. However, Gerrard declined the Rangers position following discussions with the Ibrox management and has confirmed that he will not be returning to the club currently. The 45-year-old, who is keen to re-establish his managerial career, has been advised that the timing was not quite right. Nach seiner departure from Sheffield Wednesday in July, Danny Rohl appears to be the leading candidate for the Rangers position.
