Joel Veltman – doubt
Veltman missed the 1-1 draw with Wolves before the international break due to injury. He will undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability.

Kaoru Mitoma – doubt
The Japanese winger sustained a knock in the match against Chelsea and sat out the draw at Molineux. He also withdrew from international duty and remains under close medical supervision.


Brajan Gruda – out

Joelinton – doubt
Eddie Howe revealed there is “a little bit of concern” regarding Joelinton’s fitness, with the midfielder facing a late assessment.

Will Osula – doubt
The forward has been struggling with an ankle issue and remains a doubt for this afternoon’s encounter.

Yoane Wissa – out
Wissa, who is still waiting to make his debut for the Magpies, suffered a knee injury on international duty. Howe confirmed he will be sidelined until at least next month.

Tino Livramento – out
Livramento continues his recovery from a knee injury sustained against Arsenal. He is expected to return by late November.

Lewis Hall – out
Hall, who missed the match against Nottingham Forest with a hamstring injury, has received positive scan results but won’t feature today. Howe said:
