Fresh setback for Newcastle! Another key man picks up injury with three already missing ahead of huge Champions League tie!

Newcastle United have been hit with a new injury setback ahead of their midweek clash with Athletic Club, adding to an already concerning list of absentees for Eddie Howe.

The Magpies return to action on Wednesday night, just days after their 3–1 defeat at West Ham, and face mounting fitness worries across the squad.

Lewis Hall is recovering from a hamstring issue, with Howe revealing that the Tottenham game came too soon for him. He was named in Sunday’s squad but remained unused. Estimated return: November 5 (vs Athletic Club).

Tino Livramento continues to battle a knee injury suffered against Arsenal in September. While the full-back has started light training, he’s expected back after the international break. Estimated return: November 22 (vs Manchester City).

Kieran Trippier missed the West Ham clash due to illness, and his fitness will be assessed before Wednesday’s European tie. Estimated return: November 5 (vs Athletic Club).

Yoane Wissa is edging closer to a return but is unlikely to feature heavily before the next international break. Estimated return: November 22 (vs Manchester City).

Harrison Ashby, meanwhile, remains sidelined with a thigh injury, and no timeframe has been given for his comeback.
