Referee and VAR Teams Confirmed for Rangers vs AS Roma Europa League Clash
The match officials have been confirmed for Rangers’ Europa League meeting with AS Roma at Ibrox on Thursday night, with kick-off set for 8pm.
Both sides will be desperate for a positive result, having endured difficult starts to their European campaigns. Rangers sit bottom of the group with no points from three matches, while Roma have managed one win and two defeats, opening with a victory over Nice before suffering back-to-back home losses to Lille and Viktoria Plzen.
Taking charge of the game will be Danish referee Morten Krogh. The 37-year-old official has handled six Europa League group-stage fixtures across the past two seasons, along with various qualifiers. Known for his disciplined approach, Krogh has issued only one red card in those games — during Olympiacos’ win over Backa Topola last season.
He will be assisted by Dennis Wollenberg Rasmussen and Steffen Bramsen, with Mads Kristoffersen acting as fourth official, completing an all-Danish on-field team.
Overseeing the VAR duties will be Belgium’s Bram Van Driessche, supported by French official Willy Delajod.
