After enduring a personal attack, Manchester United hero Bruno Fernandes defends Sir Jim Ratcliffe.Bruno Fernandes,

captain of Manchester United, maintains that the team is preoccupied with events occurring on the field and not off it in light of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s purchase of a 25% stake in the club. Ratcliffe harshly criticized Fernandes in his most recent book, but the Portuguese celebrity seems to have accepted the INEOS contract. On Christmas Eve, Ratcliffe’s £1.2 billion offer for a minority stake in United was accepted. Along with his company, the British billionaire will now assume control of the club’s football operations in an effort to restore the 13-time Premier League champions to their former grandeur.

A primary objective for Ratcliffe and Company is to reconstruct the Red Devils’ unsuccessful transfer strategy. United have been wasting money by releasing first-team players for free for an excessive amount of time.

United are in jeopardy of losing seven talents whose contracts are about to expire, including Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Victor Lindelof. When their contracts terminate in January, all three players are eligible to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs in exchange for summer free transfers.Although Fernandes has three years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, Ratcliffe’s remarks in his book “Grit, Rigour & Humour – The INEOS Story” made in the immediate aftermath of Manchester United’s humiliating 7-0 loss to Liverpool last season are not encouraging for the 29-year-old.

Ratcliffe narrates an incident from his sojourn to the Cook Islands in the first page of his book, wherein he beheld a rugby player “carted off in the back of a pickup truck with a broken leg.” The INEOS CEO praised his fortitude and stated that his conduct was “quite the contrast with Bruno Fernandes, who was recently seen clutching his untouched face during the Liverpool debacle.”
