Rangers player ratings vs Dundee: Mikey Moore steps up at Dens Park
Rangers bounced back in style with a convincing 3-0 victory over Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday.
Danny Rohl’s side arrived looking to respond after back-to-back defeats, including a midweek Europa League loss to Roma — and they did exactly that, producing a commanding performance to return to winning ways.
The breakthrough came when Nico Raskin met James Tavernier’s pinpoint cross with a fine header to put the visitors ahead. Just five minutes later, Mikey Moore doubled the lead, finishing off a flowing move to give Rangers firm control of the contest.
Moore, who joined from Tottenham in the summer and initially struggled to impress under former boss Russell Martin, has enjoyed a resurgence under Rohl. The Tottenham loanee looked full of confidence, taking two shots, creating two chances, and even contributing defensively with three duels won, a clearance, and six recoveries.
He thought he had grabbed a second goal late on, only for it to be ruled out, before Djeidi Gassama sealed the win with a trademark strike in the final minute to make it 3-0. It was a dominant showing from the Light Blues, who have now secured three straight Scottish Premiership victories.
Moore was arguably Rangers’ standout performer before being replaced by Oliver Antman in the second half. Antman, however, struggled to make an impact — failing to register a shot or touch inside the box, and winning just a third of his ground duels.
