Norwich City issues a stern warning to Leeds United amid pressure over Daniel Farke’s sacking

Norwich City fans could serve as a warning to Leeds United supporters pushing for Daniel Farke’s dismissal.

Pressure on the Whites’ manager is mounting after five defeats in six Premier League games, with more than 70% of Leeds fans in a recent poll advocating for his sacking.

Despite this, Farke remains unfazed, telling Sky Sports that handling pressure is part of operating at this level: “If you can’t stand the heat, don’t enter the kitchen; yet, this has no effect on our work.”

Leeds currently sit in the relegation zone with 11 points from 12 matches, though they remain only four points behind 14th-place Newcastle. Many fans feel a managerial change is needed now, before the gap widens, but Norwich’s history provides a cautionary tale.

Farke previously managed Norwich from 2017, winning the Championship title in his second season.

However, despite early success, he was sacked in his second Premier League season after just five points from 11 games—even on the eve of Norwich’s first win of that campaign. His successor, Dean Smith, won only four more games before being replaced, and the club has since cycled through multiple managers with limited success.

Farke’s tenure at Norwich remains the club’s most stable period in recent years, with subsequent managers unable to replicate his achievements.

Norwich’s struggles post-Farke, including a near drop to League One following Liam Manning’s disastrous spell, illustrate how quickly fortunes can decline.

While Leeds’ start this season is concerning, Norwich fans would warn that firing Farke now could trigger far worse consequences, as the Canaries’ experience demonstrates.
