Fabrizio Romano has issued an update on Wilfried Nancy’s imminent arrival at Celtic, confirming that the deal is moving into its final phase

Fabrizio Romano Drops Major Update on Wilfried Nancy’s First Celtic Training Session

This is shaping up to be one of the biggest weeks in Celtic Football Club’s recent history.

From Martin O’Neill’s final match in charge, to Wilfried Nancy’s official unveiling, and the possibility of Celtic climbing to the top of the Premiership table, everything is happening at once in Glasgow.

It all begins on Wednesday night, when O’Neill takes charge for the final time against Dundee — a chance for supporters to send off the club’s most influential manager since Jock Stein with a fitting farewell. The big question is whether Wilfried Nancy will be in attendance, with the incoming head coach now moving closer to Celtic Park by the hour.

Romano Confirms Nancy’s Arrival in the UK

Fabrizio Romano, who has been relatively quiet throughout Celtic’s managerial search, finally delivered a significant update. The transfer guru revealed that Wilfried Nancy has now arrived in London, having been granted permission by the Columbus Crew to travel and complete his move.

Romano confirmed what many suspected: talks have been ongoing for weeks, and the deal is now entering its final stage.

First Training Session Locked In

With Celtic preparing for a massive top-of-the-table showdown against Hearts on Sunday, there will be no easing in for the new manager.

According to Romano, Nancy is scheduled to arrive in Glasgow on Thursday, where he will take charge of his first Celtic training session immediately.

“Wilfried Nancy has arrived in London now, authorised to travel by Columbus to become the new Celtic head coach,” Romano reported.
“Nancy will be in Glasgow on Thursday for his first training session at Celtic. Official announcement to follow.”
