Danny Rohl unsure over Bojan Miovski as Lyall Cameron ruled out ahead of Rangers clash with Hearts
Rangers boss Danny Rohl has revealed uncertainty over whether striker Bojan Miovski will feature in Sunday’s crucial Scottish Premiership trip to Tynecastle against Hearts.
The Gers, currently sitting third in the table, have enjoyed a boost in form since Rohl’s arrival. Miovski was forced off injured during last week’s 2-1 defeat to Ferencvaros and missed Monday’s 1-0 win over Hibernian.
Speaking to Sky Sports News on Friday, Rohl confirmed that midfielder Lyall Cameron will definitely miss the Hearts match, while Miovski’s availability remains in doubt. “Lyall is not available. Bojan is a question mark, but all other players are available. Let’s see what happens in the next 48 hours,” he said.
Miovski had just begun to make an impact at Rangers before his injury, leaving an opening for Youssef Chermiti to step up. Cameron, meanwhile, has had limited game time under Rohl but has remained a consistent figure on the bench.
Rangers face a pivotal showdown against Hearts, with Celtic struggling under new manager Wilfried Nancy and sitting just three points clear. Under Rohl, the Bears are averaging 2.50 points per game, putting them firmly in the title race.
Sunday’s clash could be a defining moment for Rangers’ season, and with a few key players unavailable, someone will need to rise to the occasion to help the team keep pace with Celtic at the top.
