Wilfried Nancy responds to questions over Celtic future following Rangers loss

Celtic head coach Wilfried Nancy has spoken out amid growing speculation surrounding his future following another disappointing result.

The Hoops boss has now suffered six defeats in his opening eight matches in charge, including a 3–1 loss to Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Celtic went into the interval with a lead but were unable to hold on in the second half, ultimately surrendering the advantage and falling to defeat at Ibrox.

The run of results has intensified scrutiny on Nancy’s position, and he was questioned about his future during a live Sky Sports interview.

Remaining composed, Nancy acknowledged the pressure that comes with the role but stressed his focus remains on improving performances. He explained that his priority is helping his players, staff and team progress, and finding solutions to reverse the current run.

While admitting that conceding goals at key moments has made things difficult, Nancy insisted the team is close to producing positive results and believes continued hard work will eventually pay off.
