Wilfried Nancy addresses booing Celtic fans following humiliating Rangers loss

Celtic fell to their sixth defeat under Wilfried Nancy as Rangers claimed all three points at Parkhead this afternoon.

It was a damaging afternoon for Nancy, who watched his side squander first-half dominance in a derby defeat that could have been put to bed before the break. Hyunjun Yang opened the scoring with a fine finish, but Celtic failed to build on their advantage and were punished after the interval.

Youssef Chermiti struck twice in quick succession to turn the match on its head, before Mikey Moore added a third to seal a memorable win for Rangers.

The result sparked frustration among the Celtic support, with boos directed at the manager, the board and several players as pressure continued to mount on Nancy.

Speaking after the match, the Celtic boss urged unity despite the disappointment, insisting his side were closer to turning things around than results suggest.
He admitted the defeat was difficult to accept but pointed to Celtic’s first-half performance as evidence of progress, calling on supporters to stick together as the team looks to improve.
