He said he had spoken with Rommens at the Dundee match and expects the defender to return within the next week to 10 days.
He added that he’s impressed with Rangers’ transfer activity, describing the new arrivals as high-quality additions. He also hinted that more signings could follow.
According to him, the club haven’t recruited for depth alone, but brought in players capable of improving the starting XI. While competition for places will be tough, he believes they have the ability to secure regular roles.
Rommens completed his move earlier this month, while fellow recruits Andreas Skov Olsen and Tochi Chukwuani made their first appearances in the victory over Dundee. He added that Rangers have approached the transfer window in a very proactive manner.
He explained that two of the new recruits have already been seen in action, while Rommens is close to fitness and could return within a week to ten days.
He approves of the transfer strategy, noting the players brought in are of high calibre, with the possibility of one or two more to follow.
The key point, he said, is that these signings upgrade the starting lineup rather than pad out the squad, although competition for places remains.
