Nardin Mulahusejnovic has emerged as the latest striker linked with a move to Celtic as the club’s search for attacking reinforcements gathers pace.
The Noah FC forward is reportedly the subject of discussions between the Armenian side and the Scottish champions.
Celtic have already secured Tomas Cvancara on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach until the end of the season, while Julian Araujo has arrived from Bournemouth, but further additions up front remain a priority before the February 2 deadline. Former boss Martin O’Neill has also acknowledged the squad would benefit from extra depth.
Transfer reporter Rudy Galetti claims Celtic have opened talks over a deal for the 27-year-old. Mulahusejnovic enhanced his reputation in Europe this season, finishing the Conference League league phase as a top scorer with five goals — including one against Aberdeen. He previously struck 17 goals in 42 matches for Mostar before joining Noah in a deal worth an initial €350,000, potentially rising to €1 million with add-ons.
Rapid Vienna are said to have had a six-month loan proposal, including a €1.5m purchase option, turned down earlier this month for the 6ft 3in striker, with Noah reportedly unwilling to sanction a temporary move.
Elsewhere, Celtic’s long-running interest in Bodø/Glimt frontman Kasper Høgh remains in the background. Norwich City have already had an approach rejected by the Norwegian club and are now closing in on Randers striker Mohamed Touré instead. Høgh, however, appears focused on his current side after helping them reach the Champions League knockout stage. Speaking to TV2, he said he had received huge support from the club and those close to him and is determined to make Bodø proud.
Celtic are also believed to have revived their pursuit of Chelsea’s David Datro Fofana. The Ivorian forward came close to joining the Hoops last summer before heading to Turkey with Fatih Karagümrük. After impressing, the 23-year-old has been recalled by Chelsea, who are now exploring a permanent solution.
Clubs in the Middle East have shown interest, with Al-Sadd reportedly keen on a loan, but Chelsea are said to be keeping an international loan slot free — a factor that could also complicate any move to Scotland.
With multiple irons in the fire, Celtic’s striker picture remains fluid as deadline day approaches.
