Celtic have explored a move for Manchester United defender Tyler Fredricson ahead of the transfer deadline, according to BBC journalist Simon Stone.
The Hoops reportedly made contact regarding a potential late deal for the 20-year-old centre-back, but the move is unlikely to happen due to an untimely injury.
Fredricson attracted interest from Huddersfield and Aberdeen as well.
He has made two first-team appearances for United this season, both under former manager Ruben Amorim, and has been involved in matchday squads for ten Premier League games in 2025/26.
The young defender had hoped to leave United on loan after limited playing time, having only two minutes in the Premier League and three starts for the under-21 side.
He made his senior debut last season in defeats to Wolves and Brentford.
Celtic are expected to remain busy in the winter transfer market, with Freiburg striker Junior Adamu and Lorient winger Joel Mvuka set to join before Monday’s deadline.
The Hoops have already strengthened their squad this window with right-back Julian Araujo, striker Tomas Cvancara, and the recall of Stephen Walsh from his loan at Motherwell.
