Portsmouth FC have postponed their home fixture against Ipswich Town scheduled for tonight.
Pompey were set to welcome Ipswich to Fratton Park on Tuesday, February 3, but the match was called off only hours before kick-off.
In a post on X, a club spokesperson explained: “Tonight’s game against Ipswich has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Heavy rain overnight, which has continued into the morning and is expected to persist until near kick-off, has fallen on ground that was already saturated.”
Portsmouth sit 20th in the Championship standings after a 3-0 home victory over West Brom last weekend.
Ipswich, on the other hand, are fourth in the table and in the hunt for automatic promotion, seven points behind leaders Coventry and Middlesbrough.
