Celtic is in a pretty good mood going into this weekend’s return to the Scottish Premiership. They have won five straight games in all tournaments.

Livingston, Dundee, Rangers, St. Mirren, and Buckie Thistle have all lost to Brendan Rodgers’ team, and things are looking up at Parkhead ahead of Ross County’s game on Saturday.

Despite this, there aren’t many new trade news items to share. Nicolas Kuhn is the only new player to join the club this month.

Along with many other teams in January, Celtic’s main goal in the last few days of the window has become to keep key players.

Even though there was talk that the Denmark international might be moving on to another team, Rodgers recently denied the rumors by telling BBC Sport that the club is in a great position and has no plans to sell.

Rocco Vata

Premier League teams West Ham United, Brentford, and Nottingham Forest are all interested in Cameron Carter-Vickers, but the Irishman has said that he wants to keep the player.

Problems with Anthony Joseph Celtic’s latest on the talks to sign Rocco Vata
This month, another player who has been talked about a lot is Celtic rising star Rocco Vata, whose contract position is uncertain.

As things stand, the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international can talk to foreign teams about signing a pre-contract now that his deal is almost over.

Bologna and Como have both said they want to give the 18-year-old a different way to advance in his future.

The Daily Record says that Sampdoria is also interested in the young player. He could be the latest player to leave the Hoops’ school system.

Even so, Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has now posted on social media site X that talks have begun to extend Vata’s stay in Glasgow, and he is “keen on staying” if a way to play for the first team opens up.

This season, Celtic has had a lot of contract extensions.

Celtic have been renewing the contracts of key players all season. Kyogo Furuhashi, Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate, and Daizen Maeda are just a few of the players who have signed new deals at Parkhead.

Because he has been in good shape all season, Liam Scales could be the next player to get a better deal.

Keep key first-team players because it protects their worth and gives the club a sense of continuity as they try to win trophies.

After scoring his first goal against Buckie Thistle, Vata has become a hot topic, and it’s good to see that Rodgers and the team want to keep him in Glasgow for a long time.
