Rangers eye mind-blowing deal for rising star compared to Ryan Kent

Danny Röhl is aiming to guide Rangers FC to their first Scottish Premiership title since the 2020/21 season—and the title race is very much alive.

The Light Blues sit just three points behind leaders Hearts with seven games remaining, keeping their hopes of lifting the trophy firmly within reach. Their last triumph came under Steven Gerrard, with key figures like Alfredo Morelos, Ianis Hagi and Ryan Kent playing starring roles.

Kent, in particular, proved a masterstroke signing after arriving from Liverpool FC, eventually becoming one of the club’s most influential attackers with 38 goals and 56 assists during his time at Ibrox.

Now, Rangers appear keen to repeat that success story. The club are accelerating their pursuit of Liverpool youngster Luca Stephenson, a move that mirrors Kent’s path from Anfield to Glasgow.

The 22-year-old has impressed during his loan spell at Dundee United FC, catching the attention of Rangers, who are now pushing to secure a deal in the upcoming summer window. His performances in the Scottish Premiership have showcased both his physicality and technical ability—traits that suggest he could seamlessly adapt at Ibrox.

Operating as an attacking wing-back, Stephenson has contributed five goals and four assists this season, underlining his threat in the final third. That output, combined with his experience in Scotland, makes him an appealing target.

However, a deal may not be straightforward. Stephenson is reportedly keen to return to Liverpool to impress Arne Slotduring pre-season, with the club expected to assess his future before making a final decision.

If Rangers can pull it off, they may have found their “next Ryan Kent”—a young talent ready to flourish in Glasgow and become a key figure for years to come.
