“I could not contribute to the team and I am not good enough” – 26 years-old Celtic Midfielder Reo Hatate breaks Celtic injury silence after major injury blow while on international duty
The player has been difficult for the Hoops to play without because he has been hurt all season.
Knocked out Before he goes out for a long time, Reo Hatate spoke to Celtic fans for the first time.
Hatate had been out with a leg injury since October, but he came back to play for the Hoops just in time to be picked for Japan’s Asian Cup team. But since he didn’t play in the first game against Vietnam, he was brought in for the games against Iraq and Indonesia. He then got hurt before halftime against Bahrain and had to be removed.
The Celtic player Brendan Rodgers said it looks like he hurt BOTH legs and will be out for five to six weeks. His team, the Samurai Blues, lost to Iran in the quarterfinals because of a heartbreaking late penalty. He had to watch as his team failed to make it out of the event. Hatate took 24 hours to think about what happened and then went on social media.
The Celtic star posted a picture of himself playing in the Asian Cup and wrote, “I couldn’t help the team, and I’m not good enough.” I’m okay with the truth and will keep fighting. Thanks for your help with the Asian Cup!”
Since he hurt both of his calves, the Celtic player has been out for up to six weeks.
Hatate, who is 26 years old, was called up along with Daizen Maeda, another star player for Celtic. But things went badly for him in the game when he hurt himself against Bahrain.
In the end, Iran beat Japan 2-1 in the round of 16 to knock Japan out of the event.
Hatate has now thought about the tournament and his injury. He wrote on Instagram, “I’m lacking in contributing to the team.” Accept what’s going on and keep fighting.
“Thank you for supporting Asia Cup.”
“This is another part of the season where we haven’t had much luck with our best players getting hurt.” He will be back soon, and we will start treatment right away so he can get better quickly.
The boss of Japan, Hajime Moriyasu, had said, “I want to hear what the doctor says.”
“However, when someone gets hurt, it hurts both the player and the team. We need to keep the game going and win no matter who gets hurt.” I feel better about myself after today’s game.
