Brendan Rodgers has been informed that he must remove Alexandro Bernabei from the team if he wishes to maintain Celtic Park’s position as the home of the league championship.

Alexandro Bernabei has been used by the Hoops manager in lieu of Greg Taylor, who is now sidelined with an injury. To be fair to the Argentine, he has performed pretty well considering the limited amount of game action he has received over the course of the past couple of sports seasons.

Stephen McGinn, a football player and pundit, has suggested that Rodgers should drop Bernabei for the title run-in. This recommendation comes after Greg Taylor has returned to the team.

When asked about Greg Taylor’s performance, McGinn stated on The Go Radio Football Show, “It’s a good thing for Greg Taylor in terms of what he’s done, especially in those two years under Ange Postecoglou.”

“However, he is now in a position where Celtic fans are getting a sight of him back in training, and this is a significant event for him.

In the past few years, he has demonstrated an exceptional level of consistency and dependability.

“Bernabei, he does some great things, he does some mad things, and now that we are at the run-in with thirteen games to go, there is no place for mad things, and Brendan Rodgers will be delighted to have Greg Taylor back and available,” said the coach.

The Argentine player moved to Celtic from Lanus in 2022 for a fee of £3.75 million, but he has had a difficult time replacing Taylor, who is currently in good form.

The rumors that he would be eligible for an international call-up for Argentina during the previous season began to circulate at the close of the previous season, and Celtic fans might be forgiven for believing that they were in possession of a potentially talented player.

On the other hand, the kid has only made a total of 27 appearances, and since the beginning of this season, he has been utilized more out of need than because he has earned his spot on the squad.

The 23-year-old player, who had been rumored to be leaving Celtic in January, was once again kept at the club out of need when the details of an injury sustained by Greg Taylor became public sometime in the middle of the winter transfer window.

A recurring idea is becoming apparent in this context. If Bernabei were to be moved on during the summer, it would not come as a surprise to me.

According to McGinn, he does not possess the consistency necessary to play fullback for Celtic, and it is only a matter of time before a mistake, similar to the one that occurred at Aberdeen, might wind up costing Rodgers a lot of money as the fight for the championship draws to a close.
