After a break for international play, Man United will be back in the Premier League this weekend to try to get into the Champions League.
Erik ten Hag will be able to breathe a sigh of relief as Manchester United get ready for the return of the Premier League this weekend, after the international break. However, the Reds did not go through the break without picking up some new injuries.
Ten Hag’s team goes to Brentford on Saturday knowing that a win could put pressure on the teams above them in the race to make it into the Champions League. United is nine points behind the usual top four teams in the Premier League going into this weekend’s games.
England, on the other hand, should get an extra spot in the Champions League this season because UEFA decided to make the game bigger. Two more spots will be given to the top two countries in the rankings for the coefficient, which England currently leads by a large margin.
Fifth place would also get you into the Champions League, and there are only six points separating United (sixth) and Tottenham Hotspur (fifth). MEN Sport has put together the most recent injury news from Old Trafford while the season is still going on.
