It was impossible for Jurgen Klopp to stay away from the chants of Manchester United fans after Liverpool lost at Old Trafford.

Liverpool missed the chance to go to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday because they tied Manchester United 2-2 at Old Trafford.

Luis Diaz’s first goal put Jurgen Klopp’s team ahead 1-0 at halftime, but they earned more than one goal because they were so much better than the home team.

United turned the game around after halftime, punishing Liverpool for being careless with the ball in the goal.

Bruno Fernandes pounced on a loose pass from Jarell Quansah and brilliantly lobbed Caoimhín Kelleher from 40 yards out. Kobbie Mainoo, a teenage star, then scored an amazing curling goal to give his team an unlikely lead.

Even though Momahed Salah scored a controversial late penalty to give Liverpool fans hope for a comeback, Klopp’s team couldn’t find a winner.

Klopp, who is in the last two months of his job as Liverpool manager, looked angry from the sidelines for most of the afternoon.

He was angry that his team was wasting chances and sad that they were defending badly, so by halftime he wasn’t in the best mood.

United fans in the Stretford End saw this and made sure to sing to their foe as he walked off the field at the end of the game.

People began singing “Jurgen’s cracking up” to the tune of the famous English football song “Three Lions.” At first, Klopp didn’t seem to pay attention to it.

Before going down the tunnel, though, the German coach put his hand to his ear and shrugged.

In a strange way, it was a lot like Jose Mourinho’s ear-pop on the field when United beat Juventus in 2018.
