With an impressive win over Luton Town on Saturday, Manchester City briefly took over the top spot in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, sent a Premier League title warning to Arsenal and Liverpool after their 5-1 win over Luton Town on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.

The first goal for City was a bad rebound by Daiki Hashioka that went into the back of the net from Haaland’s overhead kick. Mateo Kovacic gave them a 2-0 lead in the second half, and then Haaland scored his 20th Premier League goal.

In the 87th minute, Jeremy Doku made a great goal by himself. Then, Josko Gvardiol added to his screamer against Real Madrid to put Pep Guardiola’s team on top of the table.

On Sunday, both Arsenal and Liverpool have a chance to move ahead of City. If Arsenal beats Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, they will be in first place in the league. Meanwhile, Liverpool will play Crystal Palace to try to keep their title hopes alive.

After helping City get their 22nd win in the Premier League, Haaland went on social media to tell City’s Premier League title foes that he is ready to fight.

He wrote “We keep pushing *flexing emoji*” next to a bunch of pictures from the 5-1 win over Luton.

In the next week, Man City has two very important games. Real Madrid goes to the Etihad Stadium for the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal. The score is currently tied at 3-3. After that, they play Chelsea at Wembley in the FA Cup.
