Ronaldo will be banned and have to pay a fine because of the “disgraceful behavior” that got him his latest red card for Al-Nassr.

The Portuguese star lost his cool during the last few minutes of their Saudi Super Cup semi-final match against Al-Hilal. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was sent off with four minutes left after elbowing Ali Al-Bulaihi into the ground.

As per the match referee’s report, Ronaldo was sent off for using “excessive force” when hitting an opponent. The 39-year-old man who never gets old disagreed with that choice and argued his case angrily before finally going down the tunnel.

Cristiano Ronaldo could be banned for two games after getting his first red card in Saudi Arabia for elbowing a player during the 2-1 loss to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup playoffs.

In the 86th minute, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was sent off for hitting Ali Al-Bulaihi, a defender for Al-Hilal. He joined Al-Nassr in December 2022. Saudi Arabian news outlets say the 39-year-old soccer star may get more punishment for making fun of the referee as he left the field in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Not taking anything away from Ronaldo, Jorge Jesus, the boss of Al-Hilal, said about his Portuguese teammate.

He’s still very strong, and he always has been and always will be the world’s most important player. He’s a role model.
He isn’t used to losing in his job, though, so it’s only natural for him to lose his cool and his emotional and mental focus when he does.

Ronaldo was taken off the field because Al-Nassr was down 2-0 after Salem Al-Dawsari and Brazilian winger Malcom scored to put Al-Hilal ahead.
Even though Sadio Mane scored a goal late in extra time, Hilal held on to beat Al-Ittihad and move on to play them in the final on Thursday in Abu Dhabi.
