Newcastle United player Alexander Isak sends out a brutal message to Crystal Palace ahead of their next Premier League match
Alexander Isak, a prominent player for Newcastle United, is having a great time right now after he has been successful in seven consecutive games since returning from injury.
Alexander Isak has released a rallying cry consisting of the phrase “fight to the finish” in advance of Newcastle United’s final six matches. This is because the Magpies are attempting to secure a spot in Europe for the next season. With a brace against Tottenham Hotspur, the player who was purchased for £63 million brought his total for the season to 21 goals. He is currently in a fantastic form heading into the final stretch of the season.
During the match against Spurs, Isak’s play was evaluated by Jon Dahl Tomasson, the manager of Sweden and a former forward for Newcastle. After the match, the Dane spent some time with Isak in the tunnel to offer him some compliments. Isak, on the other hand, is not quite done with this, and neither is Newcastle. It is said that the dressing room contains an internal target that is based on points, and it is said to be there.
In the meantime, the reward for the season as a whole has not yet been set, and it is unknown whether Newcastle will be able to reach that total. There is no way to tell for certain whether or not fifth place will be up for grabs in the Champions League, but if Eddie Howe’s team succeeds in winning all six of their remaining games, there is a possibility that the 2023–24 season could come to a breathtaking conclusion.
“We are in form at the right time, we have a few games left, and we have to finish the season in a good way,” Isak said in an interview with Chronicle Live. Isak will be playing against Crystal Palace in a crucial game the following Wednesday. In the past three games, we have been doing well, and it is imperative that we continue to do so at this point.
Without a doubt, we would prefer to play this next weekend. Having said that, we do have some time to heal, and who knows what the future holds for us? It’s possible that we’ll be able to get some more players back in shape. You have to keep your eyes on the bright side, and we really just have to keep moving forward.
While Howe was talking about winning six games in a row in the final stretch, Isak is aware that if Newcastle is able to accomplish it, there is a possibility that something extraordinary will take place. Even if Newcastle were to finish in sixth place, it would be considered a very good season given the current injury situation.
This is what the striker had to say: “We take it game by game.” These are the feelings that we have, but we have the mentality to prevail. One thing that we are certain of is that we have something to play for the time being. The outcome of it will be determined by us.
“Well, if we play like we did against Spurs, yeah,” Isak said in response to the question of whether or not Newcastle could win all six games. We are going to adopt that approach, even though it is not going to be easy to maintain that level.
The magnitude of Newcastle’s 4-0 victory over Spurs, who were chasing the top four spots, came as a surprise to many observers. Newcastle displayed a high level of performance against Spurs. At the conclusion of the match, Isak made the following statement: “Tottenham’s philosophy has worked well for them this season, and that is the way that they play.” In spite of the fact that it is always going to be challenging for any team to come here and perform, we were able to make it challenging for them specifically.
The way that we have been thinking is exactly that. There is still a lot of competition for us, and we still have a chance to end the season in a positive manner. These are the actions that we are taking, and we need to continue doing them.
Since Isak has returned from a groin injury that he sustained in the middle of winter, he has scored seven goals in seven appearances. The addition of Anthony Gordon has helped him improve both his form and his play in general. During Saturday’s match against Spurs, both Isak and Gordon came out with outstanding performances, earning a perfect score, and he freely says that he enjoys playing alongside the complete England international.
It’s a lot of fun. Isak elaborated that he is a really easy player to play with, that he have qualities, that he is incredibly fast, and that we have a strong understanding of one other. In certain situations, you can play the ball fifty meters in front of him, and you are confident that he will get there. He makes things simpler for you.”
Isak regrets to inform you that he will not be participating in the European Championships this summer. This is due to the fact that the Swedish team did not qualify for Germany in the autumn of last year. One could argue that the fact that Isak will be able to take a break for the majority of the summer is a positive development for Newcastle.
Regarding his physical fitness, he stated, “Yeah, I’m one hundred percent.” The focus should now be on maintaining this level of performance.
On the other hand, it is reasonable to assert that Tomasson, the old lad from the Toon, was not simply on Tyneside for a day trip on the weekend. A double friendly match is scheduled to take place in June, with Sweden playing Denmark and Serbia. It is reported that the former Blackburn manager was checking on availability for the match.
During the conversation, Isak stated, “Yes, I knew he was here, and I spoke to him after the game.” This was in reference to Tomasson’s presence.
Tomasson, like with every other Geordie supporter, was just as impressed as the teams were leaving the pitch of play. As Howe did, he is aware that he has a striker who has the potential to be of world-class caliber to build his squad around.
