For the upcoming two matches, Al-Nassr has opted to substitute 20-year-old star striker Meshari Al-Nemer for Cristiano Ronaldo.
This is in consequence of the 39-year-old receiving a red card against Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup.
Due to the denial of Al-Nassr’s appeal, the Portuguese superstar will be sidelined for the following two league contests.
As per Essentially Sports, manager Luis Castro has decided to utilize Al-Nemer in lieu of Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the Saudi Super Cup semifinal, Al-Nassr suffered a 1-2 loss to Al-Hilal. Ronaldo was issued a red card for the visitors.
The former Manchester United player was absent as the Knights of Najd were defeated by Al-Hilal for a second time in a game they will never forget.
A minor altercation between him and defender Ali Al-Bulayhi resulted in him elbowing the latter.
