After the game ended 3-3 in extra time, Celtic defeated Aberdeen 6-5 on penalties to advance to the Scottish Cup final.
Killian Phillips, an Aberdeen midfielder, was awarded the seventh penalty kick for the Dons in the penalty shootout, but Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart saved it.
After receiving Celtic’s sixth penalty, Hart had a chance to win the shootout for Celtic, but he ultimately failed, hitting the post.
With Hart being the only Celtic player to miss a chance, the shootout made it very evident that the team can take penalties.
In the Scottish Cup final on May 26, which takes place against either Hearts or Rangers, the Hoops will play. The second semifinal is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm.
